A Guidebook account allows you to log into our website, Builder, and start creating your own guide. You can use the same account to log in to the Guidebook app or any Guidebook powered branded app. Signing up for an account is free.
Having trouble signing in? Don't worry, it happens. Jump to Troubleshooting below for the most common fixes — including being invited to an event without a password, missing reset emails, and being locked out. If none of those resolve it, email support@guidebook.com.
Sign In to Builder
Visit https://builder.guidebook.com/#/login/ to log in to your account. Enter your email address and your password. Then click Sign in.
If you need help with your password, click Forgot Your Password? or click here. Builder will ask for your email address. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password. Reach out to us at support@guidebook.com if you run into any trouble.
We recommend using a supported browser to access Builder or reset your password.
Log In to Guidebook-Powered App
In Guidebook or a Guidebook-powered app, tap the silhouette icon in the top-right corner of the screen. In the Log in section, enter your email address and your password to log in.
If you do not have a Guidebook account, select the Sign Up tab and enter your email address, a password meeting the requirements below, and agree to the End User License Agreement before tapping Sign Up.
You can also log in to a Guidebook app using Login links. Login links are only supported for existing accounts. An account might have been created for you already by an event organizer. Learn more here.
If you request a link to reset your password and do not receive an email, try signing up for an account instead.
When you have successfully logged in, you will see a shaded circle with your first initial, or you will see your profile picture. Tap this icon for personal notifications, like messages or requests to connect. You can also update your profile from here, without having to log in to Builder on your computer.
Learn more about the features available in Guidebook guides.
If you are a guide admin, you will also see the Mobile Admin option within the guides you download.
For a Space with Gated Single-Sign On, the user will only see the SSO login button.
For a Space with Non-Gated Single-Sign-On, the user will see the option to Log in with SSO or Log in with Builder either using email and password or using a login link.
Logout of All Signed In Sessions
To logout of all signed in sessions, click on your name in the top-right corner of the Builder screen, then click Manage your account.
At the bottom of the Profile tab, click Logout of All Signed In Sessions. A prompt will appear asking “Are you sure?” Click “Yes, log out” to confirm logging out of all devices and sessions.
This process will cause your Guidebook account to be logged out of Builder, the Guidebook App, and any Guidebook-powered Branded Apps you may have been logged into.
This process is helpful for privacy and security reasons that may require logging out across sessions, such as shared devices, account security, or IT policies.
Logging in to Builder if your organization uses SSO
If you’re an admin at an organization that has set up Single Sign-On (SSO) with Guidebook, your Builder login URL is different from the standard one. SSO clients log in at a dedicated URL that uses your Space’s short name:
https://builder.guidebook.com/#/login/[your-space-short-name]
If you were invited as an admin via email, the link in your invitation will take you to the correct login page automatically. Going directly to builder.guidebook.com will land you on the standard login page, where your Guidebook credentials won’t work.
Your Space short name is the same one used in your Guidebook app and landing page URLs. If you’re not sure whether your organization uses SSO, or you don’t know your Space short name, email support@guidebook.com for help.
Troubleshooting
Most sign-in issues fall into a handful of common situations. Find yours below for the fastest fix.
- I was invited to an event or conference and don't have a password. You usually don't need one. Open the Guidebook app (or your event's branded app), enter the email address your invitation came to, and tap Send Login Link. We'll email you a one-time sign-in link — no password required. Learn more about Login Links.
- I'm registered but the app says my email or password is wrong. The most common cause is that your account is tied to a different email than the one you're entering. Search your inbox (and spam) for a message from invitations@guidebook.com — whichever address received that invitation is the one tied to your account.
- I forgot my password. In the app, tap the silhouette icon, then Forgot Password?, and enter your email. On the web, go to builder.guidebook.com/#/password-recover. Reset emails are sent from passwordreset@guidebook.com and arrive within a few minutes.
-
I requested a reset link and didn't get an email. Work through these in order:
- Check spam, junk, and promotions folders — reset emails can be filtered.
- Confirm you're checking the right inbox. If you have multiple email addresses, the reset only arrives at the one tied to your Guidebook account.
- If you've requested multiple reset emails, only the most recent link works — older links expire as soon as a new one is sent.
- If your organization filters external email, ask your IT team whether messages from passwordreset@guidebook.com are being blocked.
- If nothing arrives after ~10 minutes, the account likely doesn't exist yet for that email — try the Sign Up tab instead.
- I'm locked out after too many failed attempts. You'll need to reset your password to regain access — entering more password attempts won't unlock the account. Use the password recovery link above.
- I can't find or install the Guidebook app. Search for "Guidebook" in the Apple App Store or Google Play, or open web.guidebook.com in your browser to access your guide without installing the app. See also Accessing and Using a Guidebook App.
- My event uses a branded app, not the Guidebook app. Use the same email and password (or Login Link) on the branded app as you would on the Guidebook app — Guidebook accounts work across both.
- I've worked through everything and still can't get in. Email support@guidebook.com with the email address you're using and we'll take a look.
