Supported Devices: Where Can I Access a Guide?

Guidebook guides are available on any smartphone, tablet, or computer that can connect to the Internet.

We offer a native app for iOS and Android devices. For all other web-enabled devices, such as Windows Phones or Windows PCs, you can access public or passphrase-protected guides via Guidebook Web at

Please find a full list of Guidebook compatible devices below:

  • iOS: Guidebook requires iOS 10.0 or later. Guidebook is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
  • Android: Guidebook is supported on all devices that have access to the Google Play Store, provided they're running Android version 5.0 or later.
  • Web-Enabled Devices: All web-enabled devices (including Windows Phones, Windows PCs, Amazon Fire tablets, and BlackBerry devices) may access our mobile web version of Guidebook at Because Guidebook Web is not a native solution, several features are absent or unsupported. For more information on Guidebook Web, reference this article. Web users can also view a preview of your guide with highlighted information of your choice via your Cover Page. For more information on Cover Pages, reference this article.

We recommend using Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge when visiting on a Windows PC — Internet Explorer is unsupported.

Note: you’ll need to use a mobile app to access an invite-only guide.

Is the app for Blackberry 10 still working?  Mine automatically shuts down every time I go into it.

Is there any plan to create an App for new Windows Phones, or just have to use the mobile version?

    Hi Fotini,

My apologies, it looks like your comment was stuck in a queue that we unfortunately weren't aware of. To answer your question, there was an issue with the Blackberry app not updating properly, but we've fixed that and the should be working now. Again sorry for the very late reply here but I hope it's helpful.

    Hello Robert,

It looks like the same issue happened with your comment as it did with Fotini's. To answer your question, we're hoping to eventually be able to create an app for Windows phones, but it's unfortunately not on the slate for any time in the near future and Window's users will need to use the mobile web version of the guide.

    Hi Everyone,

Because we've received several questions about Windows compatibility, I thought I'd post a comment here to provide some clarification!

Unfortunately, Guidebook only provides a native application for Android, iOS, Amazon, and Blackberry 10+ devices at the moment.  However, we've recently launched Guidebook Web for those unsupported devices!

    Hope this helps,
