Builder Homepage Tools and Navigation

When you initially log into Guidebook Builder at builder.guidebook.com you’ll be taken to your Builder homepage. You can navigate back to this page anytime by clicking the Home icon in the top-middle of the Builder page.

You can switch between your personal account and organizations using the drop-down menu next to your name or org name at the top of the left sidebar.

If you’re part of an organization that has already paid for guides, switch to your org, then select Org guides in the left sidebar to see guides in progress, or click Build New Guide in the upper right to start a new one.

Guide Management on the Builder Homepage

When you start building multiple guides, it can be tricky to organize your Builder homepage. This is especially true for organizations and org admins that are producing guides on a weekly or monthly basis. To help you stay organized and effective, you can make use of guide tagging and filtering on your Builder homepage.

You can view guides in grid or list view using the two icons to the left of the sort menu, just below Build New Guide.

Adding Tags to Your Guide

  1. From your Builder homepage, hover over the guide you want to tag and click Add tag in the upper left of the guide card.

  2. Add keywords (tags) that you’d like to use to find this guide later on. Use commas to separate them. Tags must be at least three characters long.

  3. Click Save.

Sort and Search

Use the sort menu next to the search bar to sort your guides. The options are By Status (the default), Name A-Z, Name Z-A, Event Date, and Subscription Date. You can also search by tag or guide name using the Search by name or tag bar.

Personal Account Guides

In most scenarios, your personal account will not have any provisioned guides. To begin a new guide, click Build New Guide from the upper right corner of the screen. You can set up most of your guide without activation. Once you’re ready to publish, you’ll be prompted with purchase options.

Organization Guides

If you’re part of an organization with pre-purchased guides, select your org from the drop-down menu on the left, then select Org guides. The In Progress tab shows guides that have been started or are already live. The History tab shows Archived or Lapsed guides.

To start a new guide, click Build New Guide in the upper right corner. Available guides are grouped into Available Now and Upcoming sections. See Managing Your Organization as an Admin for details.

Only org admins can start new guides. If you’re an org member, you’ll need to request access to a guide from an org admin. See Managing Your Organization as a Member for steps.
