Has your event gone virtual, or been postponed, or cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic? We are here to support you through whatever transition your event is making. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Account Manager if you are on a flat rate plan, or the Support Team at support@guidebook.com.
My Event Will Be Virtual
That’s great! Guidebook works particularly well for virtual events as an engagement and informing tool for all. If you’ve already begun to promote your guide and users have started to download the guide, you can send a push notification letting your attendees know about the changes.
If you need to make changes to the sessions or lists in your guide now that your event is virtual, you can export your content to edit and make changes more quickly.
Web views are a feature you can take advantage of if you are live streaming any sessions. For any Zoom web views, make sure you've toggled the setting button Open in browser and have the web view Enabled. Note that users will need to download the Zoom app the first time they use Zoom.
You can add other relevant URLs to the description of a custom list item or session, as well as make use of the Links tab. The Links tab is also a great resource if you need to attach PDFs, like slides or handouts, or if you'd like to link to your web views. It may be useful to your users to organize documents in a folder as well.
Since engagement between guide users will be an important goal of your virtual event, making the Interact feed your home page (from the Settings tab of Interact) will increase connection between attendees, and encourage them to be a part of the community. Having a photo album in the guide is great too!
My Event Is Postponed
We are here to help make this transition with you. If you’ve already published your guide, and you need to change the guide dates, please reach out to your Account Manager or the Support Team at support@guidebook.com and we can change the guide dates for you.
If you’ve already begun to promote your guide and users have started to download the guide, you can send a push notification letting your attendees know about the changes.
My Event Has Been Reformatted
We understand that this transition may be challenging, but we’re here to support you and ensure that your reformatting goes smoothly. Depending on your circumstances, we may be able to help you to convert your guide into several smaller guides (with no financial cost), or talk through different choices. Please reach out to your Account Manager to share your timelines and to discuss your available options.
My Event Is Cancelled
We know this decision was tough and understand the necessity. In these cases please reach out to your Account Manager. If you are on the Metered Plan, and have any questions, you can reach out to the Support Team at support@guidebook.com. If your metered guide has been published and you’ve shared promotional information, you can terminate your guide to prevent additional downloads.
