Schedule and Schedule Tracks
Beyond the ability to import your entire event schedule into the guide, schedule tracks are a premium feature that will make it simple to separate schedule information for specific groups. For example, you can have tracks for Recruitment Prospects, Current Chapters, Recruitment Counselors, and any other populations that are important to your program. Another idea is to organize the schedule by specific chapters, councils or governing bodies (IFC, Panhellenic, Multicultural, Service-Based, etc.)
How to Start a Schedule
Schedules can be created though manual entry - meaning you can enter each session one by one:
You can bulk upload your schedule sessions using one of our provided templates:
For an added bonus: iCal Feed syncing is a way for you to import your campus calendars so you don’t have to manually enter all those events into an import file. Campuses have used this feature to add Campus events, Athletic events, Student Activities events and much more!
Pro Tips for Schedules
To make your schedule information even more organized, a great pro tip is to pin your tracks to your menu and place them into a folder. From there, you can hide your main schedule so your attendees will only see the schedules set for each track!
Greek Life and Recruitment can involve handouts and information from various departments on campus. You can directly link PDFs to sessions so students can access those handouts whenever they want after informational sessions and recruitment meetings.
Custom Lists will be a key feature in any guide. With a Custom List, you can provide a number of lists such as Chapters, Fraternity and Sorority Values, Recruitment Counselors, Anti-Hazing and Title IX policies and/or safety and emergency information. Whatever is important to your institution, you can make sure that information is at the fingertips of your students!
Fun Fact: You can add as many Custom Lists as you need to your guide. There is no limit!
How to Start a Custom List
Similar to a schedule, you can begin a Custom List by manually creating sessions:
You can do a bulk upload with one of our templates!
The Survey feature will prove to be an essential feature for any Greek Life and Recruitment guide! Surveys can be customized with various question types, including multiple choice, paragraphs, checkboxes, sliding scales and more!
You can choose whether questions are required or not, and you can use surveys in a way to best serve your program. Some ways surveys can be used in Greek Life and Recruitment guides are:
- Evaluations of Recruitment Counselors
- Ranking submissions for Chapter choices
- Gather feedback on the entire recruitment program to improve for next year
You can also link surveys to sessions in your schedule for specific feedback on that session. If you have general feedback questions, you can create one survey and link it to multiple sessions. If there is particular information that you want to gather from attendees for a certain session, you can just link to one session. For example, if you want recruits to submit their Chapter preferences at the last session of the program, you can link a preferences survey only to that last session.
During or after your event, you can export your survey data into a spreadsheet so it is compiled into information that you can sort and analyze.
Greek Life and Recruitment is an exciting time for the students that want to find a life-long community on campus. In today’s day-and-age, a major piece of that is sharing the experience with one another and interacting with students going through the same experience they are! The Interact feature is a great way to have the users of the guide post comments, add photos, and notifications. This feature allows for increased user engagement. Students can network with other users, check-in to the guide, see upcoming sessions and more! We often suggest that builders make Interact their home page, so whenever a user opens the guide, the first items they see are popular sessions, new notifications, and social posts from other users.
Notifications are a helpful way to keep your users engaged throughout your event! You can notify them of a schedule or venue change, announce when bids have been sent, and remind students of important rules and regulations. If you have the Interact feature in your guide, all your notifications, inbox and push, will also appear in the Interact feed.
Push notifications can also be targeted to specific users or groups, so if there are specific subsets of attendees that you need to reach out to, you can!
- Web Views
The Web View feature allows you to provide an external link directly from your guide menu. This can be used to link directly to a registration website, a student activities main page, a reporting form, etc.
- Attendee Management
This feature can be helpful with session registration, capacities, waitlists, and checking-in guests at the door to know who arrived and who didn’t. Make sure read this article to learn about how to manage your attendees!
Add maps to your guide so attendees know where to go for sessions and can find key locations.
Users can take notes during recruitment and keep track of all the information they find important without leaving the app or needing to bring a pen and paper!
